Dmoz: better to submit to edited or non-edited catagory?

What happens if I submit a site to a non-edited relevant Dmoz category (no editor listed at bottom). Is it better to submit to a subcategory (that has lower PR and 5 times as many sites) that has an editor? I want to get the best listing (PR), but don't want to wait forever. Should I submit to both, or would that be even worse...

any editors out there?

Hah, I just submitted the best application in the world, and got turned down because they already have one director in that cat, imo ... you won't get into dmoz, you just gotta wait

I don't want to become an editor, I just want to get a website listed. I'm not sure what you said... did you submit a website, and was the category edited or not edited, and how do you know they turned you down?

It's best to submit to the Most relevant category. Not the one you want to be listed in, but the one your site fit's the best in.
