Directories for Semi Adult Sites

Anyone have a list of directories or recommendations for directories to submit sites like http://www.chicagohunksandbabes.com ?

Ones I've seen are Bluefind, yahoo, This is our year..what's some others?

Search this forum for directories and you'll get a few threads with people listing them, for free. Your first port of call is dmoz.org

I wouldn't say your site is adult...it definately isn't for kids, but then again, it ain't porn.

I do not do lots of link renting so if you got any tips for that ... let me know... there are a ton of directories on that list though, right?

some of them are a bit sketchy, but that is a bunch of IP ranges.

Overall, when you add up the cost of renting pr 8's from a lot of different networks and you're spending in upwards of 5k/month on just links with no traffic, you (I) start realizing that there are better and cheaper ways to get link popularity.

Yes, there is agreat list of resources and directories. What I don't get is when directories say no adult links, if they are referring to porn type sites, or pg-13 type sites like mine.

Overall, from what I've read from your ebook it's obvious that you spent a lot of time on it and one of the best things about the book are the examples that you give when trying to explain something. For instance.."magazine covers"...

as far as the Magazine covers, that is one quick and easy example that takes no time to use...also direct marketer mail copy is even better.

not that I am the best at understanding or reproducing all of them, but there are just forumlas that make for good marketing. if you liked particularly the magazine cover stuff then you may want to read some Tested Advertising Methods <--- great book

and as far as the adult stuff, it is worth a quick email or look through their directory to check.

I do not work on adult and gaming sites (as of right now) and thus it does not make good business sense to make sure I know the exact standards of tons of various directories that may change their opinions over time.

after I promoted a site or two in that field I would have good info...not sure if I will be doing that anytime soon though
