I'm an ODP Editor and love the damn thing! Can't get enough of it. I think it's data is worth lots to people. Sure people don't use it to navigate around the web but when you search for something and a dmoz page appears you sure do find what you're looking for most of the time. (imo)

True about submitting and forgetting, I have heard about editors not even liking the 'suggest site' feature, some think they should crawl the web themselves (editors) and find their own source for inclusions. I personally don't mind but I know my cat pretty well and don't get too many suggestions come through.

So some english editors are: corrupt, sleeping, away...etc...that means all ODP is corrupt, sleeping, away?

You are suggesting that if somebody has an issue with something that they should not discuss it, and simply not use it? By that principle nobody should criticize anything.

Is "anything" only ODP? Rest of directorys are ok. Or they are not important?

You know I`m not saying that. It`s just...we have better to do then "criticize anything".

For example: help ODP to be as you want to. If you (not only you, John) have an interest on that.

I`m an regional editor. I don`t belive all non english or english editors are corrupt. Just some of then..but still you can not tell all ODP is corrupt or ....

But still my favorite phrase is "Unlike BlueFind and SevenSeek".
Such modesty.

Krumel, criticism is a good thing. When you say come here this attitude of "love it and use it or don't use it at all", then you're not being realistic. I use Google all the time, but I also criticize it at times. I don't know anybody who is 100% happy with Google.

It goes to the beneficial nature if criticism. Criticism is a good thing. It has potential to lead to growth and betterment. As an ODP editor, you should welcome criticism.

BlueFind, SevenSeek, Yahoo, and tons of other directories have faster submission reviews than ODP. Do you want to argue that point?

. Do you know how many directories are out there ? i think 3452352 . That category is IMPOSSIBLE to get in, even with PR0, banned, unbanned, etc.

Yo ... krumi .. Scott's a nice guy man... Not flaming or such. But as you know it from DP and Seopedia, most english cat editors, are IMHO, not with a clean soul.

Yes, you are righ about "criticism is a good thing.". I did not say that is not a good thing. I agree with that.

My question was: Is "anything" only ODP?

People put pasion on ODP discussion ...it`s like ODP should do some service for them. Why only ODP? Just becouse we are using Google?

Few see that not all ODP editors are corrupt. And that`s not good at all.

I was just being preventive. Many people are making flames just becouse some don`t have same opinions with them.
