Unhappy Dmozzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm over a year waiting now so I thought I would check status.....aarh --- better not, I'm only 5 month since my last update. So I thought I might add a reply to another thread......no foiled again....my user does not seem to exist any more by searching....despite still seeing my earlier thread via the link I made at the time - here.
So I did the admin postmaster email on Friday and am still awaiting a reply. Do you think I will ever get a reply or am I just being a little too hasty.

Worrying over dmoz is a waste. Half the people on here like it and half of em think it's currupt. Regardless what anyone thinks, the editors on resource zone are plain and simple jerks. They think they rule the world with their editorial status.

The real question to ask is what's going to happen when Google makes up their own directory made by them and dumps the dmoz data (just speculation )

Just submit to other directories

Google won't make their own directory.
Why would they?

if they did, I would assume it would be for money. If everyone is making money off PR, why shouldnt Google, so they charge for inclusion into the directory and make a few hundred bucks off a million+ web sites

Again. just speculation, but just remember Google is a business, and now its a public business which means they have no honor or morality any more than Walmart does

Not very incouraging then -
If I send postmaster another email I might get banned from sending emails!
I suppose I can just sign on as another user name and then ask some questions.

Speaking of checking your status.
You should try out this new service:
http://open-directory-status.com/

It's free for now but they may start to charge later.

We signed up yesterday and they say I will get a status report in 10 days.
I wonder what the fiscal value is of all the time spent waiting on DMOZ services?

DMOZ is a sad little world unto itself - and I say that as an editor. It's filthy, corrupt and only alive because of Google. I wish they'd shut that f---er down.

If GG charged $300 for submission to their directory, it would take less time to acquire the money panhandling to get a listing then it would to wait for DMOZ editors to put you in.

DMOZ is just a lesson to illustrate why communism failed.
