6 Weeks to Consider

You ever see those smaller directories that say something like:

free submission - 6-10 weeks review time
x $ amount - 1 week review time
x (much higher) $ amount - 24 hours review time

What the heck takes these people 6-10 weeks to look at your site?

I dunno, I just think it's funny

Well, some paid directories also say..

You have two options

1) wait for us to find your site
2) pay to be included

The funny thing is #1 doesn't happen at all, so why even say it.

the reason for the delay is to make their be more value in the prompt inclusion.

the reason some of the crap directories lie is that they figure they will be able to build up more free inbound link popularity by being liars...a shortsided business model / idea IMHO

Makes sense to me. Instead of working for free they probably want to work for money or do something fun. So they put off the free stuff. I know I will if I ever start a directory.
