Reciprocal link means, you add a anchor text link on your website linking back to the web directory.

http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/R/reciprocal_link.html

Basically you submit your website to that directory and then add that web directories website link to your website that you are submitting.

Can I put their links somewhere in my blog? It does not necessary to put their on my main page, is that right?

You can put the link anywhere. The directory owner should have guidelines that you need to read anyways. Contact the directory owner for any other questions.

Thank you. Now I understand it now. I don't find any blog or forums concerning about this. I think it is because everybody knows except me.

You might have some references here about the reciprocal linking. What I need to add is reciprocal linking has become less effective in terms of links building. At this point of time you have many other link building strategies to research and work on.

Reciprocal links means, link exchange between two websites. If you're looking a links from any websites may be directory. than you have to put him/her links in you r ow.

Can you tell me why are you looking for reciprocal link for directory submission?

How it will be useful for you?

True... but why would you want to make your site more crowded that it already is to save $5? I either submit to free directories or pay if the directory has good PR.

I of course do not give a reciprocal link to the directory. After all Google doesn't like excessive reciprocals.

I find on some quality niche directories it is well worth your while to reciprocate, perhaps the OP has this in mind. Otherwise, recip linking to general directories is pretty useless, unless if they are of outstanding quality.

As others have said it's best to not submit to directories that require a reciprocal link.

The URL you will put on the reciprocal link (on form) is where you will put the URL of the directory. The directory will then find their links to the site you put, and if they found it there, they will approve your submission.

Reciprocal means you have to put link back to the directory in your site.

Its very simple, you need to add their website in your site. Then only you can submit your website in that directory.

Basically it means make your own blog or your own 3rd party site (not the site you are building links for but a separate site) and then giving them a link from the 3rd party site. That way you get 1 way link juice from them and the get 1 way link juice from you and Google has no way of catching you an penalizing you.
