Directory Scripts - which do you use?
Just wanted to get a list of free and paid directory scripts and comments from directory owners on their favourites.
Plus, which do you prefer - vote in the poll...

I was using something not mentioned here (so wont mention it). but it was a real nice horrible one.no mod rewrite and no inbuilt SEF option.
spent close to a month modding the script and made it SEF and then realised how lame that script was.
so switched over to PHPLD and at this very moment, i am in the process of upgrading my Dir's to version 3.0.3
i am sure everyone would agree, its easy to mod, excellent support in the forums, great ppl behind the project and uncomplicated setup and usage

I use PowerSeek and the Biz-Directory Script. I also run custom built directory scripts, like the one for the scripts directory.
Of the ones you list, I like PowerSeek

I'm powered by PhpLinkDirectory, and it would probably be your best bet. Since there is a lot of forum members you can get answers to your questions.

Into the poll options necessary add a "custom script" option.

I like WSN links. It's pretty cheap, but you don't have to link to anyone or anything like that. Support isn't very helpful and the directory comes fairly ugly so you really need to modify the templates. But obviously I like it enough to use it. It is very search engine friendly.

I like the way URL's are done with that script. Somehow I think it has added value to the listings.

Yes, those are good URLs. I get the same with WSNlinks. However the support forums are really bad.
