They are being reviewed by Moderators at dmoz. You will probably never get a response because those guys are just wasted by a shitload of incoming requests. It can indeed take months for an approvement.

It just shows up.. or not.
You should try to resubmit after 3-5 months and maybe check the rules again if everything is correct.

You have submitted it and there is nothing much you can do, except improve your site. "No site is guaranteed a listing." it says in the submittal policies. So that's the end of that. The only reason that dmoz would list you is if your site adds value to the category.

Best policy is to forget about it. DMOZ is effectively a blackbox.

You have no way to influence or observe what occurs in the process. You only can provide your input and receive ( or not in this case ) the result.

True. DMOZ is one of the few organizations that open embraces a policy of non-communication with the public.

Its one of those things. I have submitted numerous sites to dmoz over the years for people and have had a very low aproval rate. It can take years...

Editors manage different categories. Some editors are faster than others.

For the most part, editors at DMOZ are not looking to list websites. The first look for any excuse to not list websites, and if they do not find a reason to not list it, then they tend to just leave it in unreviewed for the time being.
