Yahoo! Directory Issues after listing accepted

Did anyone else get spammed after getting included into the Yahoo! Directory?

I paid the $299 to get listed, 2 days later I got 30 calls in one day and like 10 emails from companies trying to sell me there products...

I'm guessing it's because they saw my site because Yahoo! Directory offers "Recent Additions via RSS"

I think it's bogus and shouldn't be given out. I bet I'm not the only one aggrevated after spending $299 to be listed and then getting blasted ~

Editors usually send an email message when you're site is listed and notes that you may receive a number of unsolicited messages as a result of the addition.

I'm sure you're aware of private registrations - you might want to consider spending the extra few dollars when you register your domain names.

Marketing go through the "New" http://dir.yahoo.com/new/ and contact people. The logic is, if you paid $300 (Or $900 for adult) to be inculded, maybe you'd like to spend more.

Yeah, is it even worth to be listed next year?

Just use a credit card that you plan on cancelling. They very rarely remove listings.
