What directory script do you use and why?
I am looking to start my own directory of my favorite sites on the net, no submissions, nothing, just my own for my own reference.
What scripts do you use and why? Cost?

I use IndexScript and I just posted why, but basically it's FREE. Also, the people over at IndexScript are very helpful, upgrading, installing, etc... It's also easy to modify to fit your own preferences.

I am using Linker, because Mia's new directory script isn't available yet.

I had been using the SiteSift script with no problems (And I know Stuart so I felt comfortable that he would address any issues) - I did read a post here though where someone had problems when they had multi tiered categories so now I'm not sure.
Not sure when Jeremys (Mia) script will be available but if its soon, it may be worth the wait. He did amazing things with the Biz Directory script so I have a feeling his own script will be really feature rich

I'm using site-sift scripts at the moment, modified it a bit but it's working nicely, also hearing more and more people about cplinks, haven't tried it yet.

I like PowerSeek. Lots of handy features. And the biz-directory script is user friendly, too.

That's the one you should use. Yep, definitely. (Anyone who uses it will know why I would say that)

Chris, have you looked into PowerSeek script? It's a very good one, IMO.
And what makes the Site Sift script special?

Sorry, I should have clipped off the first part of that quoted line. The cpLinks script is the one I wish everyone would use (after I have submitted). Ideally, everyone should start with PHP Link Directory until I have submitted my sites, and then change to cpLinks. :> cpLinks has one of my sites in the script that is not suppose to be removed. So, everyone who uses that script, links to my site.
