I want to make a web directory using WP. I came to know about the theme directorypress but it is paid can anyone tell me how to make a web directory in WP using Free themes.

Why don't you just use a directory plugin.

Directory Press looks like a great plugin and you should really purchase it if you are series about running a web directory. They do have an affiliate program so if you can get a friend or two to signup using your referal link, you get your money back. Plus add a featured listings section and you can earn your money back.

I can't actually find any good free directory plugins that i like. I posted 2 earlier but i didn't like those.

Directory Press is made by Premium Press. I have used their products in the past and they work ok, but it is not just a plugin but a theme as well. Out of the box it works ok, but they need some extensive work to make them unique.
