Anyone else starting up a directory?

I was thinking it would be more fun and good to have some friendly competition if anyone else was interested in starting a directory around the same time as me? We could compare statistics, techniques, and help each other with where we are going and what we are trying but while also competing in a sort of jokingly / friendly manner.

Any takers?

PS I plan on doing a niche specific directory, so a diff niche would be preferable. I may try a broad one too though on a diff site.

I am planning on starting one, but not for another few months so I guess I will be out of this race. Sounds like a good idea though. If you find someone be sure to post all the stats for everyone to see, it would be kinda interesting

I was hoping for someone who is starting out with less than $500 to put into it and growing. This will make more sense when I finish my other post.

I am thinking about to start new one soon, I am searching the categories for my niche directory. I will be using phpld 3.x and free template for start. That would be nice learning curve for me if I can compete with you.

Definitely, when are you planning on starting? I won't be able to start for about a week (I have graduation crap all next week)
