MegaGlobe.com - The next big thing?
Megaglobe is the latest international search engine to hit the net official in August 2006. What do you think about the idea, and do you think they can become successful, and challenge the larger search engines one day?
They are currently investing alot of money into advertising, and have had many press releases. I have got a few links showing some press articles about megaglobe.com below,
www.promotiondata.com/print.php?sid=1493 Visit through proxy
www.usanews.net/_archive2006b/0000002f.htm Visit through proxy
http://www.pressbox.co.uk/detailed/A...eth_49351.html Visit through proxy
What do you think? It seems to me as though they are a very professional approach, and they are willing to spend money on promoting the site. I think it could be successful in the long run, but not without effort and commitment.

Well, I think Megaglobe is the next big thing. They say they will operate under 304 domains and they will represent the world. Even Google didn't go that far! A lot of small search engine try to come in this industry but the different with Megaglobe is that they are not small for one and for two they seem to have big $$$ and THAT will make the difference

I think it's funny that these MEGAglobe people are ripping the popular SE's for being too "BIG".
Good luck though! Spamming has worked for many large, successful companies!

Its about the technology. Google has it. Yahoo has been doing it longer and wants what Google has. And, Yahoo was on top once.
Until someone comes up with a better technology for search Google is going to be on top. The big thing is that Google has the most money to spend on improving what they have.
It is going to take a lot for someone to knock them off the top of the hill...

Megaglobe will offer a revolutionary 0 per cent click fraud rate for sponsored ads
|
If MegaGlobe akshully *had* such a product (and I don't believe it for a moment), they'd have already sold it for bizillions to Google, Yahoo!, and any other PPC company.
You know that sounds as if they never, ever record a click, right?
All of these press releases were written (badly) by MegaGlobe, with no mention of where any of the funding is coming from. Right now, it sounds like a lot of hot air.

I think it will be interesting to see what they are going to do, they might have a such tool and if this is the case, it will hurt the other search engine real bad.
I HATE CLICK FRAUD !
I have heard of lot of things about this new search engine and I believe it has a potential to be a be thing. Stop hating on Megaglobe, after all, we never know.
Binky, do you work for Microsoft?????

julia do you work for MegaGlobe????
It's not hating... but if big players like amazon (A9.com) can't successfully take on the likes of Google then supermegahyperglobalnet.com, in my humble opinion, have no chance

I think otherwise because first of all if Megaglobe really has a tool to stop click fraud then there is no way that other search engines will want to buy it and the reason is simple: they do not want to stop click fraud, too much $$ involved!
This is my opinion. Second, I believe that a change is coming in the search engine world, Google won't be at the top forever and this is good. Competition is always good. I think it's too early to tell but I believe Megaglobe might be the next big thing, who knows?
I also love Microsoft too, Bill Gates is a really cool dude and they are going to get a big part of the market with Internet explorer 7.
