A Must-See for Directory Submitters

A few of you know about this; most do not, but I am frequently asked by directory owners how I submit to directories so quickly without ever having any problems. The answer is a Firefox extension I developed about a year ago specifically designed for web directory submission. I have been using it since. A few months back, I added the sidebar management features, and since it works so ideally for me, it made me think about offering it to others. I thought about it for quite some time, and finally decided to do so. So, then I stated working on the demo you will see below. The extension saves massive amounts of time with directory submissions. I can honestly say it is the best solution I have found (well, of course I designed it to work exactly the way I thought would be best). The sidebar functionality is perfect for managing directories and keeping track of which sites you have submitted to which directories, etc., especially given the seamless integration with the browser and form filling. Anyway, enough with the talk. Take a look for yourself. I spent a lot of time making this demo. I think it came out very well. It will take about 6 minutes to view it. It does not display as well on low resolution displays because of the area it needed to cover, especially at the form field assignment, but I think almost anyone should be able to watch it. I think you'll be glad you did.

Here's the form filler's web page too (not much information there compared to what I have said above).

Don't use Firefox? That's a shame. This extension is the biggest reason I could never switch back to IE. IE does not provide the flexibility for 3rd party addon integration to interact with the browser extensively enough to implement this functionality.

Any questions or comments, as always, do not hesitate to let me know...

I'm bad about not trying new things, and FF is on that stubborn list. But I must say that I now have a reason to beat myself up for not making it my default browser for all things - this is by far one of the best tools I've seen anyone develop in a very long time; great for directory submitters and just for webmasters trying to do some self-service, economical promotion of their own sites in directories!

A simple green rep (besides the $150) just doesn't seem to convey my pleasure in this enough .... I hate doing submissions, but I hate paying for them even more, so this is a wonderful tool for a miser like me - KUDOS CHRIS!

If you don't want to switch to Firefox, you can use RoboForm to accomplish the same tasks in Internet Explorer.

Of course, I am posting this message in Firefox.

I know RoboForm Will and I use RoboForm, and I can guarantee you this is no RoboForm It has some similar features, but goes a few steps further; if you take the time to fully go through Chris' tutorial I think you'll see the difference and benefits.

Cool. I will give it a try next time I work up the motivation to do some directory submissions.

I hate doing directory submissions, it's just boring and tedious ... but necessary.

Before everytime I'd see a new directory launched, I see that Chris (mystikmedia) with tons of links already submitted. I just assumed he had a little sweatshop of workers doing this ... now we know his secret

This helps get it done with or without the motivation ...
