There are directories which are free as well as Paid - is it ok to submit our site to these directories because Google is penalizing paid link directories and though they are free but since they also have paid inclusion so there is a possibility that google might penalize these sites.

The only good directories your going to find now days is the directories that Google own or Google is par terned with the thing is about Google they only allow certain people to own directories so in other words there ****ed excuse my language, but its true.
