What is "ops"?

Does this mean we won't have to answer questions any more from people in panic about not having been listed in DMOZ a week after they submitted?

Any questions anymore? Are you implying that DMOZ gives status reports in the first place?
And a week? Are you unaware of the average review time, or is that a mis-type?

DMOZ based on volunteers/technocrats/corruption cannot work fairly.
If they want to do something much better, I would like to see a sign up membership with submission status, reason of rejection (so they cannot hide behind the "rule"), name of editor, eventually a super editor contact in case of problems. This will be a transparent submissions process.

DMOZ PR may be dropping
I don't have a lot of faith in PR prediction tools, but DMOZ is one of the very few directories I checked out that is predicted to drop. Currently PR8 and predicted PR7. Can check it here.
I ran the prediction tool on hundreds of directories and will report after the upcoming Google update....

Can I ask, why you actually expect some sort of service from DMOZ? How much are you paying for that service? If you don't like the service, then ask for a refund. Its DMOZ's site - they can add or delete whoever they want, just like any other site. Why do you want them to be accountable to you or any other webmaster?
BTW - why bump this old thread?
