Who's the best Free/ paid directory

Im very curious about what web directories are considered the best and why, because theres so many out there, and webmasters views are important.

This is the best list to use. Very good list and time was taken when it was being made.

No.1 is v7n.com
No.2 is aviva (Jeff is a friend)

Best of the web, v7, avia, alive, umdum, are good sites depending on what you want to submit to.

Looks like your talking about popularity and pr. , but the last time i did my research these two things didnt pull me to the top of the search.

best of the web has good serp position and so does v7 directory, but when i think of strong sites these are the only 2 on your list.
