Thinking of submitting to V7N state web design & SEO directory

I was doing a search for SEO consultants in my state and one of the top 4 results was the V7N site for state SEO consultants. I was pleasantly suprised by this, especially in light that it has a pagerank of 4 and the cost is a one time $50 fee. Have others found the state directory for SEO or for state based web designers to be fruitful? I wish to seek your opinions before forking over the money. It really ain't much and seems like a good deal but I welcome your opinions first.

I've had some positive feedback based on the traffic. Those pages tend to be visible in the SERPs, so it's not just a link for link pop - it drives some traffic as well.

Yeah, I was thinking along those lines as well,John. But I wanted to get some *unbiased* opinions as well.

One other question: When submitting to either directories, can we use our own anchor text link or must it be our company name?

I definetely recommend it. Its well worth the investment. I bought one about 5 months ago and gave my site some booster it needed. Quality sites is definetely a good place to invest the money.

did it give you a boost from a rankings perspective or give you qualified traffic and ultimately some of that traffic resulting in clients?

It gave me all. Quality investments in business most likely will result in quality earnings even in real time. My keywords in my business site has earned top spot in all search engines. Of course this didn't happen overnight. Time and money are considered with it.

V7N, Umdum, Aviva, Alive are some of the good investments. There is also the Dollar Linking at iwebtool. Similar sites that have good traffic has some value. The rest, look up the owners as most are come and go.

one thing i vould like to know how do you choose your keywords which according to you has earned you investments?? also i vud be glad if you share the stepping stones which you came across in this process..

Am asking all this because am a learner and i think yu can really expand my vision of knowledge.
