yes these sites are recommended for all the people who want higher ranking because these sites not only have a high home page PR , but inner pages are very strong as well, so its worth submitting.

Most of this directories can provide you pr4-5 backlink from inner pages.

Hi Sniper
I am not associated with this directory in any form or kind. But I am just amazed.
Please check-- http://www.romow.com PR4 , rate $30 regular/$60 featured.
Nothing special ----except that all its innerpages have PR5 It has a page-stregth of 6. I just bought a link from it and got a PR5 backlink in 36 hrs. I also bought a PR5 link from dollarlinking 15 days back--but it has not yet crawled-- while GII, Aviva, mingleon and Romow etc. links have crawled in less than 48hrs. I am not suggesting that it is bad---but just that although many sites offer PR5 links--there is still some difference
Much like you -- I have been doing some serious studies on good /high PR directories--and have copiled quite a good list.
In the last 15 days- I have bought/managed 14 PR5 backlinks (innerpage listings) and 11 PR4 listings and it cost me around 500 bucks. I did lot of hard work--selecting sites based on their link popularity, backlink strength, page strength and ofcouse PR.

I think that the cheapest directories who can provide pr5 link is:
www.dollarlinking.com - $1
www.dirspace.com - $6

Nice list and I also like the list at
http://www.avivadirectory.com/strongest-directories/
But one thing I notice all the time in these types of lists is the fact they
are nearly all .com directories and there is a distinct lack of UK directories.
Do UK and other country directories get overlooked by people who
compile lists? and has anyone created lists of directories which are more
geographically located?

Good point. But as for me... i afraid co.uk or any other international paid directories.
By accident i can miss instruction such as "We approve only German sites. No refund! "... i don't really want to loose my money.

Top Directories......
I dont get it what are they the top at...
Key words.... serps ..... pr.... popularity...... traffic ....(what), Because if they are truly the top 20 directories there must be some way to truly justify this statement.
Popularity just doesnt cut it, And pr. doesnt show power of content from site on keywords.
The foundation to a powerful site is looking at the top of the search to see whos (CONTENT) In the key words im looking to submit is the richest, and This site will most likely be at the top of the search in these keywords after a spider takes place.

Excellent list, what in your opinion is the difference in terms of search engine rankings between submitting to 3 or 4 and submitting to all 20?

I am also impressed with the rate that Romow get's spidered I bought a link from them two days ago and I check this morning and my detail page is on the 1st page of Google for my company name, BTW SEOMA has been going for a long time and it has a large amount of naturally gained links, I have tested the directory and it definatly has link value regardless of the PR on the pages.

I've just submitted to SEOMA as I agree it has 21,000 inbound links (Yahoo Site Explorer), if companies like SEO Inc are submitting there it can't be too bad!
