Only one problem....It's been done. success on the net is achieved by doing something new, something different. The theory and maths is very interesting. If you took the directory concept and made it better, much better than what's currently available then yes maybe. what would you do different to yahoo?

I'd be happy with 1000 per year while doing something you like to do
Hell I have no idea how to even set up a directory. Like what is the best (free?) script for it and all.
Would be a nice project though. Is there any tutorial on how to set up a directory ?

Just type on Google "directory script" and you will see bunch php scripts with full instuctions how to set up their script. All you need, just add your logo.

Easy tos et up your own directory, it is a script
you need to have MYSQL in your hosting and you creat a data base in your server.
installation vary from script to other but all follow same way.
you upload the files and folders to your folder <for example: Directory>
and you change a file called config.php to your database name and login, password of your MYSQL.
the file config.php can be edited in dreamweaver and on the code view you can change the information.
after you upload all files and folder you call the install.php using your browser for example:

your_website.com/directory/install/install.php
and you followinstructions that's it
All directory scripts attach a file called read me with instruactions how to

After reading this I was inspired to add another thing to my to-do list. I'm currently busy with some things for clients, and work. But in the meantime I'm also working on my own site.
Which will contain a directory.
