More categories in directory, more visitors and sponsored submissions

It is nice to have a good directory and make money for submission but how much you will make?
If you have only 200 categories such as "Art" , "SEO", "CARS" etc... you can make money but it is very hard because of competitors...
You can make really good money if you create thousands categories and you will try to cover everyhing you can imagine. Website about "Tubal Reversing" will submit and pay you even for pr0 ef they find Health >> Women >> Tubal Reversal category... Why? Bacause it is almost impossible to find something like this in another directories.

But sometimes it is hard to find categories by submitters and they get fed up. Being a professional submitter myself--I know what it takes --sometimes directories have too many categories!

Should we rely on dmoz.org directory? they have covered a lot topics, maybe we can copy their categories.

True.. The more catagories you have the better chance of more submissions!

I guess so too but once the geenral categories are filled they will look for similar PRed pages with few links which would be deeper links.
