Well I believe in alot a paid directories, it's all about the person who operates the directory.
Owners who I believe in:
- Jeff Berendt
- Chris Hoffman
- John Scott
- Loren Baker
- Stuart McHenry
- Greg Hartnett
I've seen so many directories start up really big time but the owner loses the interest in the directory after a certain time.
There's a quote from John Scott somewhere where he states something like: "If only there are more really quality web directories" I believe he has a point with this statement.
My new and upcomming recommendations:
gii.in
forplex.com
romow.com
ewebpages.org
bigweblinks.com
dollarlinking.com
linkjuice.com

I would consider yahoo directory. Though the submission price is too high...but it could be useful in driving the traffic.

Some of my favorites are
Joeant
Goguides
Gimpsy
Illumirate
Aviva
Abilogic
As far as my directory I wouldn't put it in the best directory list but probably on the best value for money.

The same.... lifetime links rock. If you buy bunch monthly / yearly links... how you gonna remember later? Some of them send you e-mail to remaind, but only this year i changed 3 e-mail accounts because of spam.

linkjuice.com is so up and coming there isn't even a website there
I only ever buy a directory submission if it is permanent. If its a yearly fee then i'm not really interested. So far I have purchased links at v7n directory and also sevenseek

I typed linksjuice.com into Google and got no result leading to this site!
has it been banned?
I still have PR for this site though.
