and what are the benefits that i can get when listed in DMOZ??

very simple just follow the DMOZ guideslines and wait at least six months to get listed but follow the guidelines strictly.

I just had my blog listed in DMOZ, and it's only 30 days old, including the address.
I have no idea why.
Based on that, I have to say, with all that is written on the subject...it's still a crap shoot.
Obviously there is no proven set of steps to take, because I don't know any of them.
I just submitted, and then saw the link on my stats.

The one thing that I did notice, (and this is the reason I do this blog) is, there is not a lot of competition in this category.
People still keep telling me I'm wasting my time.

its really varied how long it takes to get listed.
The advantage is of course a nice backlink but its not worth
anymore than when a blog writes about you nowadays.
I would focus on blogs.
Submitting to dmoz you can do by going to the relevant category and click in the right top on suggest site

Submitting to dmoz takes long time to appear in their list 'coz DMOZ have many authors that will approved or reject submitted sites....
