Do you get any traffic from web directories?
I have spent quite a bit of money to add my site to the best (IMHO) paid web directories.
These directories include:
JoeAnt
BOTW
V7
skaffe
mavicanet
avivadirectory
goguides
uncoverthenet
qango
thisisouryear
+ dozens of others.
According to our tracking we are getting very little or no traffic at all from our directory listings. So here's my question: do you get any traffic from directories or do you just do it to get the links?

Page Rank
Not many people use directories to find what they are looking for. The main purpose of directories is backlinks to raise your pagerank.

If you submit to dmoz what's you need?
Sorry, I would tell you, you would not get 1 hits from dmoz in 30 days or more.
Directories just help you build back links and some would help you get better SERP.

Dmoz was a pretty hard directory to get listed on, but once you are on, I can tell you, you will have more than 1 hit from them.

Yes, they give me traffic to the directories I've submitted especially free directory submissions...

Folks, Kingbloom uses a spider to keep it's database up to date. If you are averaging 16-20 hits a month from the directory, it is likely just the spider checking to make sure your site is still there and hasn't changed.

Paid submission?
To answer the question:
I have not paid for any directories and here is what I get so far this month.
Around 10-11 hits from DMOZ, (Newly submitted)
30 a day of so from www.geovisite.com( and they have the coolest widgets!)
191 from Stumble upon
around 65 a day from MyBlogLog
around 20 a day from other social networking sites.
40 or so for the month from other directories combined.
Directories from these countries have been steady:
India, Sri Lanka,
this is the first full month for this blog

No, I have about 10 of the best directory listings and get almost zero traffic. I would think Yahoo Directory would provide a little traffic as it is linked directly from the hugely popular Yahoo home page, but even that directory provides minimal traffic.

I never had much traffic from any directory. As smb. said, I don't think ppl search in directories for resources.

My site listed in 1000+ directories and i have a little traffic from directories directly.
Directories are good for search engines.
