Directory scripts - Best one to use

I need a web directory script that is easy to use, and easy to customize with a custom design I make. I have my graphics designer making a design now for our web directory, but I just want to make sure it work like I plan?

john yea you told me about that one, and I was thinking about using it, but I don't have $400 dollars to dish out on it, but I highly want that one because of the customization options, but then again phplink is still very good I can customize that very easily to work.

hehe or I could just write my own which is quite simple, the down fall is time consuming to write something like what powerseek.

I'm finally coming out with my directory, its going to be expensive, but its going to be a high high end web directory. I got a pretty large user database built up for a forum too

Nope. SevenSeek is several years old, and I only heard about PowerSeek a couple years ago, from Peter Da Vanzo.

You know when you have quality sites like that, and good clientèle thats willing to pay, thats branding, typically the search engines wouldn't even matter, I mean there great to have of course, but with high enough brand quality that could drive consumers very fast.

I uses phpLD too. I have not tried any others yet, but I would say phpLD is relatively stable.
