Yea, even $2 a month ads up over a couple years. It looks like a spam fest to me. Not much focus, the links will likely be de-vauled by Google.

So what your telling me is buying front page pr. on a cheap site isnt a good idea. Wow corbread ... Everything is spam to you i got that same responce from you about my site. Im kind of confused, because i have more #1 search results than any site i Know. Now your telling me not to submit to a cheap pr6 web directory, because it is spam. Dont you think google would give you bad results for spam not good ones

The comment is about the page you have a link on. I don't know or care anything about your directory or how or where you claim to be ranked. The site in question is just a bunch of links about fish oil and cheap TVs, it has no focus and doesn't look natural. I wouldn't pay money to be linked there.

Cornbread i feel so educated when ever i hear you talk, oh wow! what did you say something. Everything you say doesn't make any since...the comment is promotion, because that is the thread. I brought up a directory to show webmasters that there is high cheap pr. that they might want to purchase. We are talking about promotion, and buying things to help a web masters site. Do you have a pr.6 to buy front page? no so now you no why i didnt bring up your site.

Im a *(local and regional directory)(local and regional web directory)(local and regional internet directory)(regional web directory) and so on...debby im not here to advertise, but im just trying to show people some sites that may help them promote their web site. The reason i started a promotion thread was so that everyone that might have a site that could help webmasters on the board to share the wealth. Being a high search directory its time for me to promote as much as i can. What upsets me is when someone downs other peoples sites without knowing what there talking about.

Personally, I think a link on that page has little value.

1. It's a dropped domain - previously for the Rutgers University Amnesty International site.
2. Previous inbound links are unrelated.
3. The co-citation value is nil.
4. New inbound links added are nothing more than link pimping announcements in forums.
5. The outbound link profile is crap.
6. The web page is (currently) not cached, you'd think a PR6 index page would be.
7. It currently doesn't show up for your exact anchor text.
8. It does show up for the quoted search for "Wholesale Fashion Handbags Purses Belts Buckles Caps", but only if you "repeat the search with the ommited results included" and there's only 3 results total.

I have plenty of pr 6 sites as well some free some paid i dont see your point. Being a good web site requires more than in bound links anyways....script, promotion,serp,traffic,pr, and so on. No one said you had a bad site, but i did say ....you.... are not a pr 6, and neither am i.

The best methods are Bookmarking, sig links, bidding directories, Get some sponsored themes & get listed in some real high quality paid directories.

Good to-the-point game plan Red_Virus.

But, the best form of marketing is still word-of-mouth. Build a directory that is recognized as a quality directory by Webmasters AND visitors and over time as PR on inner pages increases the word will spread. The first group of Webmasters you need to win the attention of are other directory owners. Invest where they invest.

cornbread if you new anything about the strongest links you would know you have to apply through email and prove that you are the strongest link, and very few sites have the oppertunity to get on that site..... unless one you prove you are one of the strongest links or you pay for it. Cavemen have been falsely stereotyped for 250 million years, but we are more than just hunter/gatherers. I am not attacking you personally Rankland, I am challenging your Directory that you brag about constantly.
