high serp directory sites to submit
I was wondering if we could compile a list of directories with high search results on a faorites list so that directories could have some strong content sites to submit.
wow directory.com
v7n.com
habba.com
isedb.com
punawebdirectory
freshtv.com
max directory.eu
urlz.net
alivedirectory
wikipedia.org
botw.org
These are some of my favorites.

We talked before about more or less link value and popularity, because everyone brought up only those types of sites so clearly cornbread we are on a totally different subject.

They tend to be one in the same, a good directory is just a good directory, popularity, traffic, content, good ranking in SERPS, they tend to go hand in hand. But I will play, here is my list:
botw.org
ewebpages.org
searchmonster.org
directory.v7n.com
joeant.com
webworldindex.com
cascandra.com
sevenseek.com
romow.com
linksjuice.com
apahcinc.org

You picked alot of high popularity /traffic sites, and dont get me wrong they are good directories, but the key words i used for my top serp sites are...
web directory/ local and regional directory/ regional directory, and these are the directories that put me #1 in my key words in the searches..

Aviva does have editorial integrity and they will check your site out and like all good directories will only list quality web sites with unique content. The owner of Aviva actualy took the time to send me an e-mail one time. If you truly have a quality web site with original, spam free content, I suggest you e-mail Aviva and ask them to reconsider your request for a review. Aviva is expensive, but they have excellent customer support.

I just submitted alive directory yesterday, and they have great back page pr as well. The only reason i submitted them now is im seeing them pop up every where in directory keywords, and i believe its an asset to the power of my directory.

Little Phoenix, I have never heard of a web site getting denied just because it has Adsense.
Ranki, Good idea, Alive is a solid directory and it should help Rankland.

It could be one of very many different things, but sometimes it will best suit you to email the site, and get the true cause. I wouldn't even sweat it there are too many great sites on the board, and he probably did you a favor.
