Just a quick question about Yahoo directories. Should I submit my site to all of the various country directories, or will they spread to all after one submission?

I might be wrong but I assumed they were local to where you are? So your customers can find you relative to where you are?

I only submitted to the US version and my listing has appeared on all the other country versions. I think they all pull from the same database (with a hidden field identifying the country for the listing so local results can be highlighted).

So in theory you pay once and get free listing to 'fill' there directories form other countries?

Makes it tough if you dont want ot be listed in some countries?
I suppose a links a link at the end of the day

Looking at a competitor's backlinks made me wonder about this. There were tons of foreign country yahoo links. I guess I don't need to waste time submitting to all the countries. Thanks.
