The issue for you is churning this and Rand's name to raise your profile, I do understand that you do not want to address this though.

Since you want to be critical of Rand and make a collection of his statements and get him to respond to each of them specifically, I'm just wondering if turn about is fair play and if I should go back into your statements, collect them, publish them and have you respond to and justify each one as you are pressing Rand to do now.

Well, you should always look at this factor when looking at directory networks, but I don't think it is prudent to keep this going at this point, like John Scott said, it is this guy's livelihood Mike, just like it is Rand's.

Well, the problem with that particular interview is that the person being interviewed can longer really be considered worth listening too. The amount of deception and weasel factor alone in his personality pretty much even blows past that of most politicians. Sad, but true.

The interviewer is also well endowed in the weasel department. He has made some scathing posts against Fishkin here and in other places. Now they are best buddies because Fishkin has given Dirsensei a good review. I think it is a match made in weasel heaven.

Whether or not you like it, Rand is and will be one of the keyplayers in SEO. Looking at posts of his from a month ago, he has definitely been more of a politician/businessman/poster boy for his corporation rather than an SEO. I like how he goes back to the basics and addresses SEO related issues. Needless to say, I have paid no mind to where he addressed pagestrength, a tool I believe has done more damage than good whether it's paid or free.

See, the point is he has never been more than a showpiece. The fact that most people seem to be missing here is that, to put it simply, Rand just ain't all that bright. It doesn't take rocket science to do this, yet still he falls short of the median level of competence.

He's a mediocre seo at best, who is good at marketing himself and has a somewhat decent team behind him. That's about it. He's been coasting on rep for quite some time now.

From that interview:

Out of curiosity I popped over to Education World. The first thing I noticed was list of sites on the right under sponsored links. Let's see, we have links for weightloss pills, car finance, magic tricks, hoodia, payday loans, florida vacation homes, cash advances and some other interesting links. Look like ros links as well. Not exactly "on topic" and has the same feel as many of the "seo-targeted junk directories".

Looking at your posts for the last 3 years, the only thing anyone with sense could garner from them is the fact that you are a self promoting, signature spamming, signature pimping, link farm promoting clown TOOT.
