Questions to Directory Owners
Hi guys
Couple of question I was thinking to ask:
Here are they
How many Submissions you get each day?
How much you earn from your directory in a month?
How much time you give for your directory? ie promoting... stuff
How many directories you have?
Which Directory is the best idea to launch these days: - Bidding Directory
- Niche Directory
- Paid/Free Directories
Thanks guys

Every directories are unique, beside the directories made for adsenses.
Submissions are variable, when mines were free it was around 25-35 per day
You don't make money until you are a certain time on the market, so somebody else can answer you question.
I promoted my directories just to start, my main focus is my e-commerce for now. Before to promote them heavily, I need to see which categories work. then I will ajust. When this process will be done, then I will promote.
I own 2, I am planning to create more, domains are already registred and ready to go.
Free to start, than Paid to avoid spammers and crap, still offering free listing for V7N members :-)
Hope that can help you

Well for me it goes like this:-
How many Submissions you get each day?
about 100 - 200 per day
How much you earn from your directory in a month?
well 467 avg pm
How much time you give for your directory?
Well as much a si can spare but have other projects, the key is to make sure you share your timr between them all.
But the best direction I think is find a good niche and build off that

If a directory gets 60 submissions a month (2/day) and only makes $500 then it's a pretty inexpensive directory (if all 60 sites are approved it works out to less than $10/listing).

How many Submissions you get each day?
It varies, I run a paid directory.
How much you earn from your directory in a month?
Average around $400 p/m
How much time you give for your directory?
Sooo much time that I don't track it... at least 6 hours a day including weekends.
How many directories you have?
Several :-)
Which Directory is the best idea to launch these days:
Bidding Directory
Niche Directory
Paid/Free Directories
I would say to go with a Niche Directory... Given the current speculation regarding Google and it's penalties on directories a Bidding or General directory may not be worth the investment.
Just my tuppence worth.

Their was only a few directories for some reason high pr that got effected by google, oviously they did something google didnt like to get that pr., and as far as bidding directories are concerned the majority of them are using back link tools,pr tools, alexa tools, cheap inbound links to promote. Im a bidding directory, and if anyone took the time to check how many and how fast these directories are giving inbound links in the search youd might submit one rt. now.

The real important questions you should be asking.......
1 How olds your url?
2 Where, and how many times does your site show #1 serp?
3 How strong is your content?
4 Does you site give popularity links in searches , and how long?
5 where do i see this sites back links, and how many does it have?
Theres a good reason why niche directories are second best you just said it there concerned about $
Buy the way if i was you i wouldnt compare your sites content to mine exspecially in the forum it could be imbarrasing....

Your tuppence worth alot. Good advice.
Google has all along stressed about creating content (websites, directories and whatever) for the user and not for Google or other search engines.
With that said, create a niche directory is the way to go but just like to add, Do not copy. Create your own niche directory through your own hard work and you will sleep better

I agree google does want you to create as much content as you can through inbound links. I dont see anything wrong with having script on your directory i have it myself, but i do believe you could over do it, and thats why ive never submitted a niche directory. I have quite a bit of #1 search results so i quess not submitting to Niche directories didn't effect how good my content is.....acually it might have benifitted me ...not submitting to niche directories that is.

I only got a couple of submissions per month, which doesn't cover the cost.
