Can you successfully submit Flash sites?
I have a site that some one else did and it is all flash, no text at all. Can you successfully get this web site to be found by the search engines?

From my understanding you have to have text with relative words to get you placed in the search engines. I know know theres more to it than that, I am just being brief.

Only the key words in the HTML Page Title will be read by SE.

like johan said, when there isn't any text, the spider will read the keywords and description ...

Because you have to embed flash into a page, you can always include the textual copy, keywords, etc... in comments <!-- Welcome to www.yourwebsite.com, featuring your products, keyword1, yada, yada, yada -->

Also, you can use layers to include text underneith flash.

Search engines won't have any probs crawling it but since it cannot read the contents of the site, it won't be of much use ....

Different bots behave differently. Some follow links, others tranverse site structures. Some follow robot.txt rules, others don't. Some use the content declared within meta tags, others don't.

Essentially, descriptive elements such as comments help in situations when meta tags don't apply or the page is purely flash (not exclusively, since I'm sure there are other scenarios when this is applicable)

Users won't see them on the page, but can read the listing/summary on search engine results.
