BOTW.org and alivedirectory

Hey all, I submitted to BOTW and alive directories about 3 weeks ago and Google is yet to see them… yahoo found them within a week. Have I done something wrong here or should I be more tolerant.

PS: Google found all my other directories listings within 3-5 days.

No it dosen't!!!!

To start with there should be no gap between link: and the url

Secondly, that operator only ever shows a small random sample of links to a site and never them all. Just because a link is not in the sample does not mean Google has not picked it up and is counting it.

Have you used Google web master tools? That should show you all your links.

if i used "lik:www.mysitehere.com then i have NO links what so ever.

my webmaster tools shows that i have even less links.

Less than what?
Have you validated your web site at Google Web Master Tools? If so, give them a few more weeks and they should show you all your links.

Hi,

You should use: google search "www.yourwebsite.com" to see in webpages contains that information.

For instance: for http://www.nfldraftdog.com/ use http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...raftdog.com%22

you can see listings in goguides and joant, which don't show with http://www.google.com/search?q=link:...tdog.com&hl=en

It usually takes several months for the link operator to update and see the backlinks in google.

@SAB, I'm sure you're listings in botw and alive are crawled by google, other method is to check the cached page which your listing is on.

Rubbish. As the link operator only shows a small random sample of all the links google know about and use, how do you expect the links being asked about to show up? (other than randomly)

Again, also rubbish. That will only find sites with the term http://www.nfldraftdog.com/ and they don't even have to be links - if the links uses anchor text and not the URL, how do you expect it to show up for that search?

Back to the OP, I guess Google knows the links are there. the link:sitename.whatever search doesn't show as much as it used to...

Google Webmaster Central now shows the links. however link:www.ect.com does not

so i guess fixed
