Thumbs up casino / Gambling sites on Bidding Directories.

Hi Guys,

I manage quality [link removed], now this morning I got highest bid of $42.00 from a casino/gambling site (which became the Link Leader, I deleted the link & refunded the link owner)

Now I have clearly stated in TOS [link removed]of my site that (Casinos, Gambling, Pharmacy) or adult-related Web sites are strictly forbidden & also the bids are non-refundable. Still I went ahead and gave him a full refund.

This is the second time that I am refunding the money back to a gambling site webmaster. Just want your suggestions/feedback if you guys have been under similar situations. Also it clearly states in the PayPal terms that accepting money for listing of gambling/casino sites is prohibited.

One more question, what if tomorrow I get a bid again from a gambling webmaster. Should I just delete his link & don't refund. Or Delete his link & refund him again.

Amit

Well if you are going to delete the webmaster's link, I would refund the money.

I deleted the link & also made a refund, and my TOS clearly states that the bids are non re-fundable.

I had the same problem, but The yahoo directory has gambling and casinos websites. I keep those links, and I didn't decided yet, I guess the problem is not only that but if the site has enough quality or not...

Look for quality. The concept of "bad neighborhood" is based on "poor, irrelevant content".

As a gambling webmaster it's frustrating to see such biased standards for gambling sites. My sites are 100% legal. I don't promote any program that offers services to non regulated countries.

So, back on topic. Look for quality unique sites, and make a decision based on that.

BigWebLinks AND my All Top Directories have also received top listing bids from gambling sites ( in my case... casino directories). We've both allowed them to remain in the directories, because there wasn't a compelling reason to exclude them. BUT, I was unaware of a PayPal policy that might be problematic when accepting these bids.... I'll check into this and report back.

Thanks for raising the issue. FWIW I have no problem with casino listings per se, but they just have a lot more money to throw around then most webmasters for some reason.

Maybe I've been barking up the wrong tree!

Cheers
