Business.com vs yahoo Directory
Hello dear v7n members,
I have a question for you:
I am planning to submit my site to one of these directories, but I really don't know which one will be more efficient for my business online.
What do you recommend, Business.com or Yahoo Directory?
Thank you

Personally, I think you get more value from a Yahoo! directory listing.
Business.com does allow a few deep links though, so that might be more important to you if you are primarily concerned with getting a few deep pages to rank well for specific keywords/keyphrases.

Thanks Bernard, I think Yahoo will give me more power. I am not very interested by deep links, I have tried this before and it doesn't give me any value.
I had PR4 on each products from my site before and google decided to take it off.

Yahoo gives you more links because it's sindicated on several local yahoo directories.
Business.com probably will give you more direct traffic, you must check the SERP of the page where your listing will be placed, I don't like Business.com because is nothing more than a giant MFA site.
I personally think you will get a better ROI getting several listings at niche directories.

Thank you ! Ask !
I am listed on several directories, and I am not sure these two directories will bring me trust, traffic, or BL. I was planning to get listed, but still thinking about that.

I found yahoo very expensive for what it brought back, In traffic that is and this is. Whilst other lil directories have brought me more in a month than yahoo dir has brought me in a year. However i think you should balance between traffic and authority. Personally I find 300$ too stiff for a "review". Just my experience, different niches may have different results.

Most of my competitors are listed on Yahoo Directory, so it could be a plus to be listed on. This is also a trusted and authority one.
As far as the price goes, $300 is nothing compare to Yellow Pages advertisement lol

True if your site has no good trust it's preferable (that's why i mentioned it) and you'll probably never have to worry about that dir's pr drop either, not that it matters...
I'm no pro tho it's just my

I cannot say my site is not trusted, but I don't have a large presence on internet, so it is one other good spot to promote my site.

I think they are both good - If money is not a consideration go with Yahoo.

I have been accepted on the Yahoo Dir heyaaa lol.
I start getting some traffic, this is excellent and I am very happy.
I will do Business.com later, that's the next thing I am planning to do, unfortunately I cannot afford both in same time.

I have my website listed with Business.com and when it comes to getting traffic form them is NONE. Getting a back link is the only things that you are going to get. It's not even qualify backlink since it is located on on of the pages that has low pr. It is definitely not worth the money.
