Many web directories which are recently penalized by google are quite popular and quality directories?
And many of you admit that you look for exposure and traffic and not PR.
So will you submit your site in these penalized directories to give exposure and traffic to your site if you do not care for PR?

Will site owners be affected by Google if they list their site in such paid directories?

The site owner will certainly not be effected in any way. If that were the case webmasters competitors could do reverse link building to bring down others websites rankings.

Well, it is not exactly like that, because most of the paid directories I am listed dropped in PR (like I always said I don't care about PR) but the ranking of these directories also dropped, and that's the very important part. I used to use different keyword sets, or keyphrases only for directories and these are not ranking high anymore which brings less traffic.
