Unpaid directory submissions into paid directories

I get an awful lot of submissions (90%) to my paid directory that 'forget' to actually pay ...

Seems like such a waste that people go to the effort of submitting in the hope that you'll just accept them without payment.

So, my question is to other directory owners, what do you so about such submissions? Just delete them, or email the owners and point out their 'mistake'?

Got to agree with you guys, I just don't understand why people waste their time in such a way ... one Irish web design company has spent the time to submit 20 or so sites, all of which I'm going to delete - haven't they got anything better to do with their time?

Yeah I guess that's the case ... that simple little email, then the rejection just makes it look like my directory is being awkward...

Is this what the "manual submission services" do for such a small fee? Looks like bad publicity to me. What you do you think?

I just delete the listings since I know they are not interested in following steps to success like normal people.

I guess it must be ... a lot of submission services promise certain profiles of PR's (i.e. we'll submit to 100 PR4 sites for $1) but I guess they fail to note that they're only submitting not paying ... and rejection will follow ...

Off I go to delete ... sadly but with a certain relish

Bochgoch i understand what you mean, but some directory owners don't specify if the link is yearly or permanent before submissions.

I discovered a little percentage of directory owner notifies that the link is yearly when you are redirected to the paypal payment form, and I think this is not fair because both are wasting our time.

It all started in the middle of November-'07.
I was getting 15/20 submissions everyday on my paid directory who didn't pay.
I noticed that, the title/description and category selection were perfect which indicates professionalism and also cheating.

I just do --Check All-->Action--Delete

Cheating in the sense-- submitting professionals/companies cheating their clients by handing over a list of high quality directories that they have submitted ( obviously your e-mailer informs through automated e-mails to the original webmasters who hired these guys.) Sadly, the webmasters don;t know know what has been going on!!!!!!!!

When you delete --they get another automated e-mail saying that-- submission guidelines have not been followed.

I remember, John Scott, owner of this forum has initiated a discussion on exactly these kind of cheats few months back and sadly its still going on. Naive, as they are, webmasters are loosing their money for nothing.

Because........................ my directory is paid--as I invest lots of my time by reviewing the site and editing the submissions. Nothing comes free in this world. I charge the nominal fee for the time I spend to evaluate the sites.

I also keep 50% submission fee if I reject sites--
The rest of 50% should go into the permanet -long-term traffic/benefits that I would be serving them.

Not always it might be spam.. As one of you said, not specifying about the time frame of yearly or permanent might also be a factor for ignoring the payment.
Also i do normally wait for the unpaid link owners for a week max. if they might turn up to pay.. But finally if no payment is received, i delete the pending listing.

This something-for-nothing mentality annoys me.

If I had a quality site, there is no way I would allow a 'automatic/manual submission service' to handle my link building. That is just paying someone to spam people's sites in YOUR name. There might be some legitimate services out there, but I think for the most part, its a valid statement.

Hi

That is true that people just pay to submit their site because they don't time to submit to many directories or they don't know how to Submit.

Not anymore there is a service out that you pay only if your site would be approve.

1) you get the report from site submission service or directory owner with site listed URL after that you pay to directory or site submission service.

Sounds good right..No spam, no waste of time, no waste of money...

2) Please read http://www.a1omads.com/pps/
3) Browse and select how much you like to pay per submission to each directory.
4) Join if you are site submission service or directory owner http://www.a1omads.com/pps/index.php?menu=join_poster

5) Join if you like to submit your site to many directories http://www.a1omads.com/pps/index.php?menu=join_owner

Why pay if you are site is not approved and Directory owner can offer better price to receive bulk submission.

Please let us know if you need help or have any question.

The more ethical way to do it is to send them a notice first. If you still don't get any reply afterwards, you have every right to delete them
