Hey,

Need some tips to increase traffic in directories. Any suggestions?

Currently receiving around 500 UV a day and looking forward to double it by next month..!

Well, the principal method is to present your directory to other forums, in that way you get much visits from forums. Another method is to put your directory into other big directories knowed and visited by many people.

Here is a little info on what I would do and I really hope it help you :-)

Search engine indexing

You must ensure that all the pages of your website are listed (indexed) in the search engines. You can check this by typing site:www.yourdomainname.co.uk into Google's search. The subsequent number of pages shown should marry up to the number of pages on your site. If Google shows significantly less then our directory submission service will aid the search engines to find all your pages.

Keyword strategies

Keywords that you target can be split into three categories. Hard, Medium and easy. Some good tips and some obvious SEO tips.

Site has some 30,000 backlinks, 8 blogs, a beautiful custom design, the best mods (paid ones too) and quality articles. What more can you ask for?

Thats why I asked for tips. Site is top quality. Just want people to know about it.

Are you managing to make adwords pay bringing traffic to a directory? I was making back 10-20% of what the traffic made me on my directory so I gave up.

The best to increase traffic in a directories is to participate in a web rings or forums and Connect your site with other sites in your niche. Pay per click and affiliate marketing could be a better idea and can help generate leads to your site.

what percentage of your 500 unique view per day is from ppc
