The description you have looks fine to me. It describes exactly what is available from your site. I probably agree with you re the right category, but I not privy to the editing logs to understand teh history of the site and the rationale for the listing and not moving it in response to your requests.
However, given your track record with DMOZ and the constant making of unsubstantiated allegations, I not sure why any editor could be motivated to do anything with the site.

How 'web hosting' in site description that says: "Provides web hosting, domains, design" in any way, shape or form is "excessive"?
Yes, I will agree that if someone is using 'web hosting' to describe: file web hosting, pictures web hosting, mp3 web hosting etc. then it would make that excessive repetition of the phrase, but to mention in site description LINE of services offered and whereas web hosting is one of them, won't violate Submission Guidelines.
At least it should not, but then again, I should remember that DMOZ flooded with jerk offs editors who had no idea what exactly "excessive" means.
some years ago it was easy to get accepted but it is too hard now. I think because they have too many sites already so they have to make selection.

Exactly; if a site does not add value to a category, its not going to be listed. If there are 10 sites in a category selling X, then there is no point in adding an 11th, unless that 11th site has something that the other 10 do not have. Its no point whinging about all your competitors being listed -- you have to give the DMOZ editor a reason to list you; a reason why you have something that the already listed do not have ... ie unique content.
I recently went back to DP after a long absence. I won't be going back again for this very reason.
Amen. I left DP a long time ago. I believe it has been almost 2 years since I left for this very reason. Sad too as I had been posting there for a long time before that.
Yeah. That's right. I never receive a reply from DMOZ whether mine accepted or not.

You will wait for a long time for a reply.....we don't issue them.
You are making a suggestion when you offer a site and if that suggestion is taken up it is listed, if not you will not be told. But a site can sit and wait to be listed for a very long time, years not days, weeks or months. Depends on an editor doing to some work in that area.
There is no way that I could individually ever review every site that is submitted to the categories where I am a named editor, even without any new submissions. Si I work at the categories that take my interest on any day. I look at the sites that have good titles and descriptions. (Ignore often the ones that say how wonderful a site "I" have created.) Mercifully other people can edit in my named categories, editalls, metas etc and so often someone else edits my named categories......and incidentally I edit in op's named categories.
So suggestions welcome, but they may take a time, speed it up by reading and complying with guidelines as far as you are able, and not all will be accepted. But at some time all will be reviewed, we don't just dump sites they are rejected after a review, but just to repeat myself, you are not told. We just do not have the facilities and contacting folks when a site has been rejected would generate immense traffic saying "Why have you done this?" and we don't have the person power to deal with that.
If anyone wants to get sites into the director and the Q's down, the best way is to join as an editor. But if you try above everything else, read the guidelines about applying and be honest.
If you websites have too many ads on the homepage, then it is harder to get accepted. Try making a site that does not have ads on the front page, after getting accepted, modify you site the way you want.

Where did you get that rubbish from? Having ads on the front page or not has nothing to do if a site gets listed or not.
