DMOZ Listing
Hello,
I am trying to list my travel sites on DMOZ but after 2 years I have not been able to. The site (Trabber.com) is interesting and useful so I do not really understand the reason. Anyone can help?
Thanks.

What do you mean by "trying"? There is never a need to submit more than once. When you say "travel sites" - does that mean you have have more than one travel related site that you have suggested? Do you remember what you agreed to when suggesting a site about this?

Dmoz doesn't even pay attention to his directory i wouldn't be surprised if a new pr0 directory thats been on the internet for 3 mo.... would have better power in his key terms in the searches than dmoz does.

Don't bother, dmoz isn't worth it. Spend your time on more fruitful backlink strategies.

Submit your site with their guidelines, but don't only rely on it. Yes, Alexa and Google thoroughly uses their listings, but you should be submitting to more than one directory.

One possible explanation for this site not being listed is easy to find. Wrapped around the logo is the word "BETA" indicating the site is not yet complete or released for wide public use.
From DMOZ Guideline #6:
Do not submit sites "under construction." Wait until a site is complete before submitting it. Sites that are incomplete, contain "Under Construction" notices, or contain broken graphics or links aren't good candidates for the directory.
I would imagine that if an editor viewed your home page he or she wouldn't look any further but would immediately delete your submission.

It's far more likely that no editor has yet volunteered to dive into the category you suggested it to and process it. Topical travel categories attract a lot of garbage and are not much fun to work in .

DMOZ is very good to be listed, it is indexed and you get permanent backlink. Its run by volunteer editors, and you may not know why one editor, who happen to moderate your entry would reject. But I'd also recommend trying again. Try to choose exact right category and choose correct title and description.

Why have you submitted more than once? You are only putting yourself at a disadvantage.
