Site reviewed but not listed in DMOZ

Hi, my site has been reviewed from the DMOZ editor, as I check from visitor stat the indian editor just visit my site only homepage, and then there is nothing good news from site listing.

Can anyone help me give some feedback on my site, why not list from DMOZ, I had waiting for more than 1 year with 2 times submission.

A visit in the logs from DMOZ could mean many things:
- a bot checking the site is still live
- editor checking its waiting in the right category
- it was reviewed and quickly rejected
- it was superficially reviewed and editor decided to leave for detailed review later
- it was checked and decided to move to another category
- etc

I first impression is "just another free host directory"...as there are 100's of them, I can't see your site getting listed in DMOZ unless it has something to offer the DMOZ visitor that sites already listed do not have.

Think about ---why would DMOZ just want to list another site in a category that has what sites already listed have? What is the benefit to the DMOZ user to list another site offering the same stuff?

Either DMOZ sees no relevance in your site or your review is still pending. But I think one year is long enough.

While submitting in Dmoz pay attention on these factors-

1. Submit your site to a proper category.
2.Make sure that your site has original and quality content
3.Get your web site professionally designed
4.Be sure to put your contact information on the web site
5.Check your site for broken links and spelling errors.

If you lack in the above stated factors, it could be the reason for not accepting the website.

A good idea but won't make or break your sites chances of getting a listing.
