Anyone paid a company to do their directory submissions?

I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone's ever outsourced their directory registrations to another company. And if so, what were your experiences? Did they deliver as promised? How much did you pay? How many directories did they submit your site to?

I was doing some research on companies that offer this service. A few examples I found are:

seocompany.ca - $450 for 1000 directories
info.vilesilencer.com - $450 for 500 directories

I realize that there's endless directories out there and this forum is a good source for them. The problem is that I have a lot of sites that I need submitted and frankly I don't have the time to do them myself. Alot of these sites are blog sites and I've used RSS Submit before, although the list of directories available through them is quite limited and the automation of the submissions is hit and miss (doesn't seem like they update their software).

So ultimately, I am willing to pay someone to register my sites (free and paid directories), however I want to know of reputable companies that you've had experience with or dealt with.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I know there's a forum section full of people advertising these services, but what I want is tried, tested, and true experiences from other people.

1. they have to be an actual company, not someone working out of their mom's basement
2. they have to have a website

Sometimes that can be just to much work for a solo guy. I try to find & pay local kids and use friends and family when possible.

Better to submit directories yourself. Programs such as Digixmas make it easy to submit to free directories. Cheap $15 for 1400 directories per site.

Outsourcing on the cheap can be bad. I paid someone from India to submit one of my sites to 1000 directories. That's all the link building it had, and it got a pr 0 on this update. He did not submit to my requested category and submitted to the category he thought best. That's why only 10% of the submissions were actually approved. What a horror story.

I would rather keep the money & do it all myself. Its easy enough to find mass lists of page rank & high traffic directory's along with good quality FREE directory submitter software.

On another forum I bought a trial batch of 100 for $3.50 for one of my domains. My reasoning was that even if I had the submission URLs that it worked out to about 50 cents per hour or less for my time.

I think they submitted them all and about 30-40 of them were accepted. Assuming the actual result was 35 that is 10 cents per link.

I guess my opinion is that it can be good deal for all.

Google can easily detect automatic submissions, and I do not feel that these submissions would be manual.

It could be like performing hara-kiri on your own website with automated submissions.

That's a bit pricey

You can actually submit your site by yourself. Proper selection of which directories to submit to and selecting the proper directory for your site. Some pointers that may help you in choosing which directories to submit to:

High PR - indication that Google sees some value in the directory.
Well maintained - listed sites are in the proper category
High Traffic - getting traffic could be minimal form directories, but majority are targeted
Kewords ranking high in SERP - Well optimized, shows that the directory is well-marketed and SEO'ed.

Which to avoid:
Link farms that pose as directories
Directories that require reciprocal links
Crappy ones with crappy sites listed

Surely you could commit to submit your own site to 3 - 5 directories a day That would definitely save you some $$$.

Smile Regarding Directory Submission

I would suggest you to do manual directory submission it is very easy, but if you are too busy and want as much as directory approval especially deep link and niche directory, then it is best to go to directory submission service.

Directory submissions is the never ending process to build backlinks [free non reciprocal directories ] no software can bring the result like manual work done .
If directory submissions done in a proper manner and choosing a proper category for the site either by yourself or by any professionals can bring huge benefits to the site.

There are a lot of manual and automatical directory submission services. Go to services forum and you will find a lot.

I was ever providing a manual submission service last year, which charges $49.9 for submitting to 1000 directories. But finally gave up because it's takes me 2 days to submit 1 site.

I hired www.seoster.com to hand submit my website to 500 directories. I would have to say that their service was pretty good but I'm not so sure whether it helped out my website.
