I submit to almost 500 directories from PR 0 - 6.

What would I expect that will happen next?

If all been approved. You might get a good ranking and increase in link popularity.

Depends when you submitted to those directories and when Google's PR snapshot was taken.

If the majority of the links get approved, and the PR snapshot occurs afterwards, I think you may get a strong PR2 or weak PR3.

i think you would be able to get a pr3, directory submissions do not help as much as they used to anymore. keep it up man, if you get some strong ones in you might get up to pr4. If they all get approved that is .

Now you should expect to wait a while, before the results will show.
First all directory owners have to accept your submissions. (expect about 75% success rate, if you have submitted to the right categories). Then you have to wait for Google and the other search engines to crawl the directories and index the page which holds your submission.

Not all of your submissions will ever be registered by all search engines, though. A lot of submission ends up too deep within a directory site that is not crawled too often and will never really help your rankings.

While waiting for the results to show, do some more link building. You should never stop building links for your site. Link velocity plays a role in ranking sites, and if your site suddenly stop getting links, it's rankings will decrease again.
