sometimes they are really quick. i think a large part of it is just luck of the draw.
I have submitted like 2 page sites and got them indexed in less than a week and I also have other sites that have never been / probably will never be included.
congrats

JeanManco removed it. Said something about too many links to John Scott's sites.

I used to be a DMOZ editor, and I was less than friendly with a few of them. They tend to not list my sites, or remove them if they have been listed.

now that I think about it your bluefind about page would probably tick off more than 1 DMOZ editor.

Thanks to all who have taken a look at my site. I learned a lot making and setting it up. Wish that I had known about picking CPanel over AdminPanel. Live and learn.
Stupid question here, would one get in trouble withe the DMOZ if other pages from the site are submitted to appropiate categories? Don't want to get in trouble with the editors.
Questions for you all who have visited my site, What did you think? Did you like the page design? How should I improve it? I am thinking of changing the text color to white, what do you think?
Thanks in advance for all your answers and suggestions.

sometimes only the inner pages get listed. one of my sites is not good enough to be one of 900 seo firms, but it's newsletter is one of only two dozen promotion newsletters on the web... stuff like that just happens sometimes
as far as your site goes
I am not a designer or color expert. your colors are bright, but maybe that appeals to people. red is usually bad, but it may fit in well with what you are doing.
some of your column widths are too skinny to have them justified. the text looks weird with only two words on some lines and them spread far apart.

awall19, thank you for your comments. I shall try and change the the formating to left instead of justified. Thanks for taking the time to look things over, very much appreciated.

not all are so. I often write slang or use incorrect grammer (such as you used in this sentence). misspelling can screw you and most sites are not of very high quality. many people submit to the wrong categories with wrong titles and descriptions and then yell at DMOZ for not listing them.
I specifically have pointed to some exceptionally rude comments by DMOZ editors in the resource zone, but not all of them are rude. Most do work free, and many do a good job. It is a hard system to organize completely free though and in any organization you will have really good and really bad workers. Bad doctors kill people every day.

Yes, that might be it ... In particular, the DMOZ article that you wrote ...

More can be found in the DMOZ forum here : http://snipurl.com/offence [resource-zone.com]
I belive getting listed in DMOZ is important because it is the only known way to surely get listed in Google directory ... More on that here http://snipurl.com/dirhelp [google.com] ... (Just scroll down to the bottom of the page) ...
Ofcourse, whether one considers that important or not is ones own personal choice, as John proved with www.bluefind.com ...

Also, is it ok to submit say once a month? What are the guidlines for submitting here?

I think it was more a case of there not being much content on BlueFind yet. Nothing to do with who likes you, or how many sites you have listed. Don't read more into it than is there. Once you have more sites listed there shouldn't be any problem getting it listed on the ODP. Remember we're building a directory of web sites, not a directory of URLs. It's all about content, content, content!

I still have sites listed in the ODP, so I doubt that applies.
