Hafsoh is on the right pathHafsoh is on the right path
It takes a while to be listed on DMOZ, most of the websites that are listed under DMOZ are more than 3 years old and so, maybe they like old websites just because they think its running for a while and wont just drop or maybe its because of the queue and it takes them time to approve or not to approve then don't forget to list your website in the right category that might fasten it a bit !

Do I violate the dmoz rule?
Yes. Did you actually read what you agreed to when you submitted? How do you think any directory (not just DMOZ) should treat anyone who can not follow the guidelines?

There is no such thing as a "queue" ; its just a pool of suggested sites that an editor may or may not choose to use when looking for new sites to add.

Quality of site and quality of submission. I have had the same problem for a while, but finally got it. try signing up as an editor in your category but dont list the site you want to submit as one of your sites when they ask in the application.

Your advice isn't clear but I suspect that it's dodgy.

Do declare all of your associated websites and it's fine if you use one of them as one of the three examples. (three examples are better than two).

One of the things we're looking for is integrity and concealing associations doesn't do a lot for it .

What if applicant manage/created more than 3 sites?
I manage 54 of them and I am sure most Webmasters here have more than 3 sites to show up, maybe even more than I manage. Should they list all their sites?

The application form was amended a long time ago and the current version asks for all of your associated websites.

We noticed recently that a few languages still use the old wording that asked for only three associated websites and these will be fixed by AOL's staff (the only folks who can make the changes). They are aware of the problem and will do so as their priorities permit.

The entry field on all forms is a text box and you can enter as many associated websites as you need in all languages. If typing in 54 URLs is too much trouble, simply enter a few and point to your portfolio page which will probably include the remainder.

Please note that, if your application is accepted, you'll be expected to declare all of them on joining.

They are expected to declare them all. When I was an editor, I even declared the website of the company that my wife worked for (even though it was totally unrelated to the categories I could edit in; and she had no responsibility for managing the companies site)

It has become a VERY funny thread, mostly because Birdie continues to feed the troll :-)

You can't imagine how freeing it is to put him on "ignore" as I do. Not seeing his illogical and ungrammatical rants really improves the whole forum experience :-)

Can you provide ONE piece of evidence to back that claim up?

Congratulations! That may be a record.

Please explain to those who are unsuccessful how you did it, and, whether you are a dmoz editor or not.

Thanks in advance for your reply...
