I find it hard to believe that Google will snub dmoz ... Also, your efforts for directory submission will not be in vain. There are people all over the world that do not use Google. When you have the opportunity to get your name in front of someone, take it ... you never know, they could be the next best back link you will ever get. Not everyone is just a "surfer".
