bluehost

Hi I am going to transfer my domain. I was on Bluehost so till they complained from a small crawler script I had that has been crashing their server (probably a PC...) they failed to reactivate my account - I don;t know why they are rated so high in the hosting charts - they deactivate your account without any warning or notice - thats not the way man do business.

Yeah, it is really bad experience. If you are looking for reliable hosting company, I can recommend you several ones to compare in order to find the most suitable company for you. Check out webintellects.com - it is trustworthy company which offers a wide range of hosting solutions at competitive price; A2hosting.com - you can also rely on this company, it is flexible too; hostpapa.com. So, choose the host that suits your needs and provides constant and uninterrupted services and support.

What is the script you have hosted with them? I guess that can be big trouble for you when you are with another provider. And I would recommend you discuss the script with your prospective hosting provider

EDIT: my 666 post here

according to me bluehost is the best host and check the script why its crashing the server. without solving it if u go for any other host u will face the same problem bcz bluehost is the one of the best in my experience so after checking clearly the script go for hostgator or godaddy

even before introducing this script, I already had some Exceeding CPU quote happenings - when you navigate to your website it shows you a notice that you have exceeded your CPU quote.

The script is tricky I admit - is a multithreaded web crawler that crawls the sites submitted to the directory - it starts limitted number of threads and they are killed in case they take longer time to download the page...its also not a CPU consuming...

Well doesn't matter I'll go for virtual private hosting once my business brings sufficient to pay the rent. Now I'll stay with BH because I don't have the time to transfer my sites and I have clients that have paid for my services.

Shakir,

If Bluehost is so great why aren't you using them to host your canned review site that you are advertising in your sig?

A DomainTools whois lookup shows you to be hosted with Godaddy on a Windows Microsoft-IIS/6.0 server.

That's shared hosting... Go for a semi dedicated server and you won't have that problem

Think the company must provide scripts that are reliable otherwise nobody deals with them.

Bluehost also limits the number of MySQL connections ... so you cannot exceed a certain number of visitors too. I'm trying to find what is that number.
