Email not being sent to Yahoo, AOL addresses

Hello. I am having a problem sending email notices to Yahoo and AOL email accounts. For example, in order for people to complete the registration process on my website, they need to open an email I send them, and then click on a link to activate their account. Email is also used to announce friend requests, etc.. I have tested using my own email accounts, as well as talking to my friends who have attempted to register. Yahoo and AOL users never receive the email; it is not even in their junk mail folder, nor do they get bounced back to me.

I have repeatedly told my web host, Webhostingpad about the problem, and they repeatedly claim that they have talked to Yahoo and have fixed the issue, but the problem remains. I have also tried contacting Yahoo directly, but they want certain information, such as error messages, that only Webhostingpad has.

Perhaps my ISP or server's IP address has been blacklisted, I am not really sure. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated. Should I try another web host? I would hate to do that because of the $.

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Solving a problem like this requires an administrator to review the mail server logs, identify the reason the messages are being rejected (there are a number of possibilities), and take appropriate action. If your web host can't provide that service, you should probably move on.

I never use shared hosting services - this is one of the many problems you run into with them. I recommend going with a VPS host. This gives you your own IP address and and your own mail server, giving you complete control over everything. A couple VPS hosts that I highly recommend are rimuhosting.com and linode.com. You might be surprised how cheap they can be.

Relying on the hopelessly overburdened and often untrained support of a cheap shared web host will only lead to frustration. Probably not what you want to hear, but hope that helps.

Matt

Sometimes that happen to everyone I believe. And I recommend you contact them and ask to unban your emails, because they got banned automatically
