multiple domain

What is the sense of using of hosting multiple domains under one account?
Webhostgiant.com offers it but I'd like to know if anybody has already used it.

Many times the resources you are paying for are not utilized. Hosting a few extra domains then becomes free.

I do it but not with the host you mentioned.

All shared hosting is is hosting multiple websites on one server. Why not take advantage of hosting plans that don't keep charging you for additional websites on that server. As far as the host you mentioned, never heard of them.

Webhostgiant.com has offered not only multiple domain hosting but single as well.
That's why you may use the one which is more to your liking.
Besides prices are not high on their services.

I believe a2hosting is offering good conditions for multiple sites as their shared hosting deals are unmetered. They have good reputation and could become a very good solutions I suppose.

The main advantage of multiple domain hosting is it helps to consolidate all your domains under one hosting plan. It is easier to modify any settings since you are doing it from the same control panel. Usually Multiple domains plan are more cheaper then a single hosting plan. Many hosting companies offers Multiple hosting plan.

That is quite commonplace feature and you need to check that if you have doubts. Say in the presales conversation with the web hosting provider you can check that.

Addon domains have become quite popular. All the major webhosts allow unlimited addon domains.

Frankly speaking, I think that you will have much better privileges if you choose apthost.com because it is more flexible, offers nice discounts and web hosting plans and allows to host unlimited domain names. You know, customers' safety is the main goal for them, so can ask any question you want and their support team will definitely help and explain you everything.

I definitely agree with that. Too many people don't understand addon domains so they buy multiple account when they could really just host all their domains under a single account.

Sub domain
  • Lets say your domain is mysite.com.
  • You install a Message Board and put in in a directory called mysite.com/board/.
  • You can turn the directory board into a sub-domain by adding it as a sub-domain from your Control Panel.
  • Now you can access your Message board as either mysite.com/board OR board.mysite.com
  • This costs you nothing and is free.

Parked Domain
  • You have two domains mysite.com and my-other-site.com.
  • mysite.com is the domain of your website and you want to add my-other-site.com.
  • You want them both to go to the same place. In other words, when someone types either www.mysite.com or www.my-other-site.com they will go to the same page(s) on your website.
  • In order to have additional parked domains you need to purchase them from a registry.

Add-On Domains
  • You have two domains mysite.com and my-other-site.com.
  • You want the two domains to be totally separate/independent websites.
  • In order to have additional add-on domains you need to purchase them from a registry.
