Should hosting certifications count?

I was just wondering what is the significance\relevance of hosting certifications from big/reputed companies like microsoft etc..

Is it worth it?

I really believe more in the practicality of things then nice decorations like:
Microsoft Web Hoster Program, Microsoft Partner Program, Web Presence Provider etc. etc.

what are your opinions on it?

I think such certifications are of little importance in the big scheme of things. They might help out in marketing, though. Definitely can't hurt.

Yeah, a good thumbs up for marketing and reputability.

Some certifications help build trust, I think. Don't know about the Microsoft partner seals, but I do like to see BBB Online, and Truste seals from vendors.
