5 months ago I had two sites with them, but I had to change of host because of ucvhost unreliable service. Server were down a lot of time, email didn't work right out of the box and ftp were also unreliable. Awful control pannels with disabled features (some plesk version for their linux plan and something called cp for their windows plan).

I tried both their linux hosting and their windows hosting.

I think they are only good if you want to test a new website for a very small price.

Hi yt,

I did have an experience with UCV Host. It was a painful one, - for months. Well, they are kind guys, but truly incompetent.
SEVEN times, in 6 months, I had my website out of reach for HOURS.
Once, all my site's directories were pirated by hacker's messages!
When you're asking for something like explanations or technical details, after several days you may indeed receive a reply. But a totally useless one, as if they don't even understand what you're talking about. I think they're not speaking a fluent English.
They can't provide any autoresponder feature. Hence, I wanted to install one. But their server is under Windows 2003; a transfer to a Linux server was 'possible' (with supplement) but installing the well-known 'Autoresponder Unlimited' software was refused 'for security reason'!
I truly think you'd better avoid them like the plague.
I find KIOSK, much safer.

UCVhost is very bad in Customer Service.

My site(www.gujjuweb.com) has been down since last 3 days and I asked them to restore the site from backup but they did not do it.

I was hosting with them for last 4 years and this was the first time we had crisis and they did nothing..

So - I have no option now but to change my host.
